Download Blipcal for Mac
Install the menu bar calendar and start your free trial. Requires macOS 14 Sonoma or later on a Mac with Apple silicon.
Install the menu bar calendar in four steps
Drag it to Applications
Open the disk image and drag Blipcal into your Applications folder.
Open it
The first time, macOS stops it: click Open Anyway in System Settings, Privacy & Security. Once per Mac.
Allow calendar access
Allow Full Access when macOS asks, so it can show and write events. Why Full Access.
Press ⌃⇧C
Or click the date in the menu bar. The panel opens with today selected.
Opening the menu bar calendar the first time
Until Blipcal is notarized, macOS asks you to confirm an app from outside the App Store the first time it opens. It is one step, once per Mac: open it once, then go to System Settings, Privacy & Security, and click Open Anyway. On macOS 14 you can instead right-click the app and choose Open. Updates never ask again.
What the 14-day trial of the menu bar calendar includes
Every feature, no card, no account. A quiet “Trial” pill sits in the panel header. After 14 days the month grid, today's date in the menu bar and keyboard navigation stay free, and the rest asks for a license.
