Launch price: $14 instead of $19 until 30 November, with code BLIPLAUNCH

Activate your Blipcal license

Enter your license key to unlock the menu bar calendar on this Mac, one of the two Macs your key covers.

The short version

  • Your license key arrives by email from licenses@blipcal.com after you buy.
  • Paste it into Settings > License and click Activate. One connection, once.
  • One license covers up to two Macs; it works offline after activation.
  1. 1

    Find your key

Your license key is emailed to you right after you buy, and shown on the thank-you page. It starts with BLCL1- followed by a long string. Copy the whole thing, including the prefix.

  2. 2

    Open Settings > License

Right-click the menu bar icon and choose Settings…, or press ⌘, while the panel is open, then go to the License tab. The trial pill in the panel opens that tab directly. Paste the key into the field and click Activate. This needs an internet connection, once.

  3. 3

    Activated

The tab shows Licensed on this Mac (or Licensed to your name) and the trial pill leaves the panel. Blipcal revalidates quietly once a day when it is online; being offline never drops the license.

What activation records

Activation ties the key to this Mac. The server keeps a hash of your key and a salted hash of the Mac’s hardware identifier with its sharing name, never the key itself and never any calendar data. Read the privacy policy for the full list.

It says the license is already in use

A license covers up to two Macs, and the message names a Mac that holds a seat. Move the license by deactivating it on a Mac you no longer use first, or email us if that Mac is gone and we will release the seat.

The email never came

Check spam for a message from licenses@blipcal.com. The thank-you page after checkout shows the key too, if you still have it open. Still nothing? Email support@blipcal.com from the address you bought with and we will resend it.

The key is not accepted

Make sure you copied the whole key, including the BLCL1- prefix, with no extra spaces. If the app cannot reach the activation server, check your connection and try again.

Next: move your license to another Mac.

Still stuck? Email support@blipcal.com and we will help.
